For the many reasons that bought you to Croatia, there is as many reasons to buy a property in Croatia. Whether that be an investment property, a home to live in or a holiday house - Croatia provides many different avenues for purchasing a property as a foreigner.
Your country will have a reciprocity agreement with Croatia if you are a non-EU/EEA national. If you meet the requirements in the reciprocity agreement you will be required to seek consent from the Ministry of Foreinger Affairs before the sale is finalised which can sometimes take between 2 - 6 months. Depending on the current market the seller might not be willing to wait this duration. There is an alternate option of purchasing through a company but this can be costly due to the upfront and ongoing costs required.
As an EU/EEA national, you can freely purchase residental property without obtaining consent from the Ministry of Justice but keep in mind, if you are planning on renting out the property you can only do so through a company.
